Staying on the Trail Through Trials by Larry Mast

Of all the things he had faced in life, nothing shook Larry like his cancer diagnosis. But when he decided to share this news with friends around the world, he learned a lesson we all need. Larry shares this in the final pages in his stylishly quirky way.
Cancer is a big deal, no matter your age, gender or the diagnosis.
That’s only one takeaway from this well composed book by Larry Mast. Using pictures of quirky roadside signs, and a few of the hundreds of emails he received during his decision making phase, Larry guides the reader along the trail he took, leaving behind markers of his own.
Staying on the Trail Through Trials is a short, easy read. I’d recommend it even for those not going through such an ordeal (like me) just to get perspective on the inner battles cancer patients face. It gives you direction on some do’s and don’ts.
If nothing else, read it for the down to earth, mountain man humor.
